On 27 September 2010, Leonidas Donskis, Member of the European Parliament, participated in European Liberal Forum (ELF) conference "Human Rights in the European Union in the context of the War on Terror", where he gave a speech on human rights in the European Union.
Under invitation of MEP prof. Leonidas Donskis, "Apostrofa" publishing house and Vytautas Magnus University the living legenf of sociology Professor Zygmunt Bauman paid his first visit to Lithuania. On September 30, Professor gave his public lecture "Selves as Objects of Consumption" at the Tolerance Centre of the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum.

On June 9, 2010 the Armenian Day was for the first time held in the European Parliament.
