As a public figure in Lithuania, he acted as a defender of human rights and civil liberties. Leonidas Donskis – philosopher, historian of ideas, politician – visited Vytautas Magnus University last week. He has been particularly busy in the academic field this year. Three books were published and another two are on the way, while foreign academic relations have been more than successful – the professor received an honorary degree of Doctor of Letters at the University of Bradford, he has also been a frequent speaker in conferences and held numerous lectures abroad.
