This week the EP member Prof. Leonidas Donskis has spent by deepening his knowledge into problems of North Korea which is often called "an axis of evil" and the biggest human rights violator in the world.

On March 20 - 26 a big group of people have learned the beauty of European cities and the functions of the European Parliament. Groups collected from different organisations have started a journey from the towers of Vilnius to the channels of Amsterdam. From April 1st, 2010 Vilnius office of MEP Leonidas Donskis will be located in new premises, address J. Tumo-Vaižganto 9/1, 01108, Vilnius. Like before Donskis office will work under one roof together with the secreteriat of Liberals` Movement of the Republic of Lithuania. All the other contacts of the office remain the same.

On Firday, 26th of March, the Member of the European Parliament,s Prof. Leonidas Donskis visited the south eastern part of Lithuania where he continued his meetings with public. First of all L. Donskis has visited the broadcast covering the southeast of Lithuania in Alytus, "FM99", and has taken part at the live program "European club" where he has exchanged views with listeners. Later on he has met Alytus inhabitants most of whom were students and senior citizens from the Third Age University in the Information and Network Technologies faculty of the Alytus College. Monday, 22 March, started with a meeting with Chinese human rights lawyers Dr Li Baiguang and Mr Bob Fu. MEP Leonidas Donskis, who is a member of the sub-committee on Human Rights, discussed the lack of religious freedom in China, as well as human rights abuses of believers of various religions, with his guests. On Friday, the 19th of March, the Member of the European Parliament, Leonidas Donskis, returned from Brussels to Lithuania had a tense, but interesting day. After having met the newly appointed Netherlands Ambassador H. E. Joep Wijnands in the Lithuanian Parliament in the morning and then having moderated the discussion organised by the Human Rights Monitoring Institute "European and Lithuanian values: identical or different?" the Member of the EP has left to Jurbarkas where he has a meeting with the public of this town.
