On 17 May, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania held a solemn event in memory of Prof. Leonidas Donskis and celebrated his contribution to the spread of European values. One of the halls at the Foreign Ministry was named the `Europe Hall` to remind our future generations about the values Prof. Donskis cherished.

During the event, Jolanta Donskienė gave 30 books by Donskis in various foreign languages as a gift to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A memorial plaque to Donskis created by the artist Saulius Valius was unveiled. The guests shared their memories about Donskis in the discussion `The European Trajectory in the Intellectual Biography of Leonidas Donskis`. The event was attended by former President Valdas Adamkus.

While unveiling the plaque, the Foreign Minister Linkevičius noted that the Ministry would contribute to the promotion of the Prof. Donskis values, including through events and discussions aimed to foster the ability to listen and hear, and to maintain an open dialogue - one out of many values that were cherished by the Professor.
